Tyler Cloutier is the founder of Clockwork Labs, a 40 person game studio backed by Andreessen Horowitz and others including Hilmar Petursson, the CEO of CCP Games, David Baszucki, the founder of Roblox, and David Helgason, the founder of Unity. The studio is developing BitCraft, a large-scale community sandbox MMORPG, and SpacetimeDB, the database and backend platform powering BitCraft. He was previously an engineer at Apple and a senior data science engineer at Machine Zone where he developed the big data processing and machine learning distributed systems behind their hit mobile games Game of War, Mobile Strike, and Final Fantasy XV: A New Empire.
